about rogers inn the pines

Sandee Rogers

Sandee is proud of her heritage as an "Air Force brat" and later as an officer's wife. Besides being a nurse, and raising a family in all corners of the world, she has over 20 years experience in the travel business. Sandee was a travel director for Air Force wives clubs in Europe, then a licensed travel agent. Both she and Buzz have completed a Bed and Breakfast seminar, and have waited to operate their own B&B for years. Sandee's is the Innkeeper and guide to the area's wide range of attractions, while Buzz manages the business.

Buzz Rogers

Buzz has long had a dream of opening his own resort since working at his family's recreational resort in northern Wisconsin. Before he would realize his dream, however, he served for 22 years in the Air Force, and retired as a Lt. Colonel in 1988. During this time he also married and helped raise 3 daughters, while enjoying world travel. After leaving the Air Force, Buzz was hired by Digital Equipment Corporation as a program manager. In 1997 the dream was reborn when Buzz was transferred by Digital to Colorado Springs. Once there the family knew that Monument, CO would be the perfect place to build Rogers Inn the Pines, their bed and breakfast haven. In October 2005 Buzz retired from HP, after two corporate acquisitions.  After teaching  ITIL best practices  and consulting for over 13 more years as a independent contractor, he's now retired from all but B&B related work.

Kaiser, the most wonderful Yellow Lab in the world, in my biased opinion, joined Sterling, our beloved English Springer Spaniel at the Rainbow Bridge on May 14, 2012. This is how we'll always remember both of our boys – waiting to greet you. If you just look closely, you might even see the halos over their heads.
Joining Kaiser and Sterling, who are waiting patiently at the Rainbow Bridge, is Henri, our rescued Brittany, who we lost in May, 2019. We missed the first 6 years of his life, but we think we did a good job with the last 6!
Herrmann and Heidi will be 12 on June 27th, 2024. Still full of energy, they enjoy ruling their 5 acre domain with Missy's 2 goldens. They are really quite popular with all of our guests.

Our Pet Friendly policy is still firm! We not only welcome your well-mannered dog(s), but we hope that we'll see some. There will be a non-refundable pet charge of $20/stay.

Last but certainly not least are Missy's 2 Goldens that are currently staying with Missy in the Inn. Finnegan and Riley are very friendly and get along fabulously with the Schnauzers.
